Play The Final Earth Online

One Platform. One People. One Chance.

The platform is small. A handful of workers, no food, no housing, no plan. You place the first building and the colony begins. The Final Earth 2 is Florian van Strien's 2018 solo-dev city builder — a vertical pixel-art colony game where you manage food, housing, and science simultaneously on a space platform, with rockets ready to carry your civilization to new worlds once this one is stable. Deep tech tree, accessible interface, and a full campaign that fits in a browser tab. The kind of game that makes an hour disappear.

Up Is the Only Direction Left

The colony grows vertically by design. Space is the constraint — every building placement matters, every worker assigned to the wrong task creates a bottleneck that cascades through food production, housing, and research. Early decisions define the shape of the mid-game. Too many houses before the farms are running and your workers starve. Too much research before housing and your scientists have nowhere to sleep. The balance is the puzzle, and learning to read your colony's needs at a glance is the skill the game teaches over time.

One Planet, Then Another

Stabilize the first platform and the rockets launch. New planets bring new challenges — different resource profiles, harsher conditions, unfamiliar starting configurations. Van Strien built something that scales naturally: the early game feels like learning, the mid-game feels like mastery, and the late game feels like ambition. The pixel art earned comparisons to Habbo Hotel from a generation that grew up with it. The depth earned something more lasting: a game people still recommend to strangers.
