The Best Weapon Is Whichever You Just Grabbed

Pistols, shotguns, launchers, and more — the game doesn't let you get comfortable with a favorite. Crates drop weapons on a timer and whoever grabs them adapts their playstyle on the fly. In co-op, this creates natural role shifts: one player goes in heavy while the other hangs back, then the crate changes everything and you swap. Explosive barrels reward positioning and punish recklessness. Boss fights between waves escalate the stakes just when you think you've found a rhythm.

Split-Screen Intensity

Solo, Temple of Boom is a test of focus and resource management. With two players, it becomes a negotiation — who takes the next crate, who handles the flank, who burns their grenades on the boss. Rounds end fast. You restart fast. The game has the metabolism of a quarter-fed arcade cabinet: short bursts of intensity, instant retry, one more round always feels like a reasonable idea.
