You're seated across a table from a dealer holding a loaded double-barrel shotgun. The barrel is filled with a random mix of live and blank shells — only one of you knows the exact count, and that information can be bought with the right item at the right moment. Released in 2023 by solo developer Mike Klubnika, Buckshot Roulette strips tension down to its chemical core: you cannot run, you cannot dodge, you can only read probability and make decisions.
Items & What They Do
Between turns, the game deals you a random set of items — handcuffs to skip the dealer's next action, a cold beer to rack out an unknown shell, a magnifying glass to peek at the next round in the chamber, a hand saw to double a live shell's damage, or cigarettes to restore one HP. The skill ceiling is entirely about timing: knowing when to peek versus when to bet blind, and recognizing the difference between a calculated risk and wishful thinking.
How to Play
Each round loads a fresh set of shells. Click items in your hand to use them, then click to shoot — at the dealer to deal damage, or at yourself if you've deduced the next shell is a blank (it doesn't cost a turn if you're right). Last one standing wins the round and advances to the next escalation.
