Nitrome's Frozen Maze Returns
Bad Ice Cream 2 is the second installment of Nitrome's beloved arcade puzzle series. You control an ice cream character navigating mazes, collecting all the fruit on each level before the timer — or the enemies — get you. The core mechanic is blowing ice: you can create frozen walls to block enemies or smash through existing ones to carve new paths. The sequel introduced new environments, new enemy types, and expanded the two-player co-op that made the original so popular.
How to Play
Player 1 uses the arrow keys to move and the spacebar to blow ice. Player 2 uses WASD and F. Collect every piece of fruit to clear the level. Use your ice ability strategically — block pursuing enemies and create shortcuts across the maze. Some levels require creative wall-building to reach isolated fruit clusters.
Co-op Tips
- Split up on large maps — one player draws enemies while the other collects fruit in the cleared area.
- Build ice walls ahead of an enemy's path, not behind you — trapping them buys more time than just running.
- Communicate which fruit clusters each player targets to avoid duplicating effort.
